Newsletter for January 2022
Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a nice break!
Costumes have been ordered. We order costumes from several different costume companies throughout the U.S. Costumes are shipped out at different times. One class' costumes may arrive early, others later. Costumes generally arrive between March and April. When they arrive we will send the class an email, and hopefully the kids can try on their costumes with parents' help during class time to be sure they fit.
The studio is NOT closed for Monday holidays. We enjoy a longer Christmas break and do not take off all federal holidays. Memorial Day is the only Monday holiday we will take off. When schools are closed due to in-service we are open. If it snows, and schools closed early or cancel after school activities, we do not hold classes. If schools delay opening in the morning we are open for evening classes. We follow St. Mary's County school closing for weather.
RECITAL and RECITAL FEE: Recital IS JUNE 17th and 18th, Dress rehearsal June 16th, at Patuxent High school. As the date gets closer we will have more information, times, and schedules/line up available.
Since everything is digital now, the video company will do a video and will send out the links of the recital shows digitally, so everyone will need to participate in getting a video. Since we are back at Patuxent High School, and rent of facility/dressing rooms/ac/staff/technicians/custodial staff is expensive, the recital fee will reflect all of this. The recital fee per family will be $105, this will include a digital link of ALL the recitals (in the past it would cost $40 per show) Plus 2-4 tickets per family per show that your children are in (depends on capacity limitations at the time of recital) and live streaming in case we're limited in capacity. The recital fee is due with March's tuition, it can be included in the same check, or you can write a separate check. The recital fee is non-refundable.
