Gracie's Guys and Gals Win Big at Dancers Inc. Finals!

Members of the Show Troupe from Gracie's Guys and Gals Dance Studio in Hollywood gather around some of the awards won at a five-day national competition hosted by Dancers Inc. in Hershey, Pa., in July. More than 32 studios from the eastern United States participated and 1,200 routines were performed. The show troupe entered approximately 28 routines. The highest award at Dancer's Inc. that can be achieved is a high gold. The Show Troupe received mostly gold and high gold for all its routines. The production routine, Disco Dance Fever, not only placed high gold, and was the first-place champion for the junior division, but after all the scores were tallied even for the senior division, this routine won the top over all Grand Champion for all production routines. Two trophies and $750 was presented to the studio. This routine was choreographed by Lisa Burrows, Crystal Hutson and Gracie Myles and was taught in less then three weeks. The senior group routine Pump up the Party, choreographed by Gracie Myles placed high gold and was the sixth overall top score national winner for all large groups in the senior division. Some of the parents also performed a routine. They did a routine called "Pop Star Reunion." Out of three parent routines, they received first place, a trophy and a $500 gift certificate.
