Newsletter for January 2023 

Happy New Year everyone! We are excited as we start celebrating this year’s recital, which is my 35th year! Recital dates: Friday, June 16th, and Saturday, June 17th. The recital is held at Patuxent High School in Lusby, MD.  If your child is only taking one class a week, your child will only be in one show. If your child is in several classes, or, if you have several children taking classes, there is a chance your child or children could be in more than one show. We usually work on the line up in March/April.

The costumes usually start arriving in March and April. When they arrive, we will notify you, so that you can come into the class to help your child try on their outfit so we can be sure it fits properly, and the teacher will advise on how the child should wear their hair, and any accessories, if any, that are needed.

The studio is open on the federal holiday January 16th. Also, reminder, that the studio remains open when schools are closed for professional teacher days.

WEATHER Alert: When St. Mary’s County public schools are closed due to inclement weather, or if they close early, and/if after school activities are canceled, then we cancel classes for the evening. If schools are delayed in the morning, we open in the evening. In the spring we try to have a ‘make up’ day on a Saturday for any snow days that caused us to cancel classes.

REMINDER: FAMILY RECITAL FEE-$110 is due with March’s tuition. This entitles each family to all the links of all the recital shows, plus four tickets to each show your children are in. if you have more than one child, the fee is still $110. You can pay separately, or include it with March’s tuition.

REMINDER tuition is due by the 7th of each month. A late fee of $20 is imposed on any late payments received after the 7th.
