Newsletter for November 2019

 A few reminders for the month of November:

1. The first parent observation class is the week of November 18th, the last 15 minutes the parents will be invited into your child's dance class to watch, video tape, and take pictures. We will have a few announcements to share and each class will also be asking for a 'room mom' who will sit with the kids at the recital and send emails out to your child's class throughout the year! A room mom's meeting will be held to answer any questions in a few weeks.
   
   
2. The studio is closed the week of November 25th for Thanksgiving.
   

For your planning purposes, costumes for the recital will be shared the week of December 9th. We will have parents come into the class in the beginning of the class for a quick ‘share' of the routine followed by the teacher sharing the costume selected for the recital in June. Full payment is required. Checks will not be deposited until January 1st. We order the costumes over the Christmas break and pay for the costumes in full. Make checks payable to Grace Myles, or Gracie's Guys and Gals, and the studio makes full payment to the various costume companies. Costumes usually arrive anytime between March and May. Costumes range in price from $65-$95. (sometimes costumes will be less expensive but it's better to prepare for the higher end.)

For costumes, parents will fill out a form, and pay for each costume separately, because each class has its own envelope for ordering costumes. Parents will make the final determination for the size to purchase, and if the costume needs to be exchanged there is a $35 fee to return and exchange it which the parent's responsibility. Tuition payments are always due no later than the 7th of each month.

Unique Moments with Lisa and GG Show Troupe are sponsoring a show troupe fundraiser: Holly Jolly Lip Sync Battle! EVERYONE is invited to participate! Each year we have more and more entries, and it's so much fun to see what the kids (and adults) put together! The audience votes for the winning act, plus there are judges awards, look for information to be emailed! DATE is DECEMBER 7th at the St. Mary's Fairgrounds. SANTA and FRIENDS will be at this show as well! Don't be shy! Encourage your child to get a group of kids together, from school, neighbors, family, friends, it's open for everyone!
